The concert’s 16 dance numbers included an eclectic combination of dance styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, Irish step and Bollywood, with striking costumes enhancing the already stellar performances. Their efforts culminated in a performance event under the direction of Diane Guida. Dance students in grades 6-12 participated in dance clubs run by upper-level dancers, while those in grades 8-12 studied the techniques of creative movement and choreography. Briarcliff Middle School and High School united to showcase their original choreography at an annual dance concert last month.
